The Institute on World War II and the Human Experience digitizes select collections with the help of staff, volunteers, and students from within FSU and at universities and colleges across the country. These projects allow students to gain hands-on experience with primary source materials, and allow greater access to our holdings for scholars and researchers across the world. In most cases, individual collections are not completely digitized, but certain collections are selected for transcription, annotation, and digitization by undergraduate students as part of class projects. So far, students from Florida State University, Gordon State College, and the University of Virginia have participated in projects of this kind.

The Oliver L. Austin Collection [CLICK HERE] is the largest slide collection at the Institute on World War II pertaining to Japan during the Occupation, Antarctic from 1956-1957, other places in the South Pacific.
